About ChatClip
ChatClip turns a written conversation into a video. You type both sides of a chat, press play, and it exports an MP4 with the messages landing one by one — typing dots, ticks, timestamps and sound included.
Why it runs in your browser
Most tools of this kind upload your content to a server to render it. ChatClip doesn't. The animation, the audio and the video encoding all happen on your own device, using the browser's built-in canvas, WebAudio and WebCodecs.
That choice has a real cost — it's harder to build, and it leans on features not every browser implements the same way. But it buys something worth having: your conversation never leaves your device. There's no account to make, no upload to trust, and nothing left behind when you close the tab.
What it's for
Chat-story videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Prank threads and reaction clips. Mock conversations for a pitch deck or a product demo. Scripted skits where a chat is the whole scene. If a screenshot isn't enough because you need the conversation to actually play, that's the gap this fills.
What it isn't
It's for fun and creative work. Please don't use it to deceive people, harass anyone, commit fraud, or impersonate real individuals. Fake messages presented as genuine can do real harm, and that's not what this is here for.
ChatClip isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to WhatsApp or Meta. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. ChatClip produces original videos in a chat-style layout.
